Delete Account
Signed-in users can delete their account and associated data from the Thought Pins Account screen. If you cannot sign in, the web deletion request below provides an alternate path.
In-app deletion path
- Open Thought Pins and go to Account.
- Export anything you want to keep, including the portable vault when available.
- Enter the displayed confirmation phrase and choose Delete account.
- Confirm the permanent deletion. The app signs you out when deletion succeeds.
This action deletes the account rather than merely deactivating it.
Web deletion request
If you cannot sign in, email privacy@thoughtpins.com from the address associated with your account and request account deletion and associated data deletion. Include the email address or phone number used for the account. Do not include a password, access token, journal text, or identity document unless support provides a secure and necessary verification process.
Thought Pins will acknowledge requests and complete verified deletion within 30 days unless a shorter legal requirement applies or limited retention is legally required.
What deletion removes
Deletion removes user-scoped journal entries, memories, entities, relationships, document sources, document chunks, chat conversations, pending actions, jobs, sessions, devices, preferences, and account records where supported by the backend lifecycle.
What may be retained
Minimal operational records may be retained where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. Residual encrypted backups may remain until normal rotation. Retained records are not used to continue the deleted memory service.
Exports before deletion
Deletion is intended to be permanent. Export your data from the app before deleting an account if you want a personal copy, including an Obsidian-compatible vault export where available.
