Thought Pins

Accepting these terms #

By creating an account or using Thought Pins, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy and AI Disclosure. If you do not agree, do not create an account or submit content.

Eligibility #

You must be at least 13 and old enough to consent to online services in your jurisdiction. If local law requires parental or guardian consent, you may use Thought Pins only with that valid consent. You may not use the service if prohibited by applicable law.

Accounts and security #

Provide accurate registration information, protect account credentials, and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. Do not share access tokens, verification codes, or passwords.

The service #

Thought Pins provides journaling, chat, memory extraction, search, source capture, recaps, exports, and related personal knowledge tools. Features may change as the product develops. Maintenance or dependency failures may temporarily limit processing while leaving read or export functions available where practical.

AI-assisted responses #

Thought Pins uses automated systems to classify messages, organize memory, summarize sources, and generate responses. AI-assisted responses may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Verify important details against original entries and sources. Thought Pins is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice.

Your content #

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Thought Pins a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transform, index, transmit to configured service providers, and otherwise process that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, export, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when content is deleted, subject to limited legal and backup retention.

Voice recordings are processed temporarily for transcription. Personal voice archive is disabled in the current public store configuration. If a private or self-hosted deployment offers it and you separately enable it, you authorize compressed, encrypted retention for account-scoped personal voice functionality. This does not authorize use for a shared model, another user's model, advertising, or a general-purpose foundation model. You can stop future retention or delete the archive through Account controls.

Articles, books, and third-party sources #

You should only submit content that you have the right to store and process, including copyrighted articles, books, documents, and media. Do not use Thought Pins to store illegal content, violate another person's rights, or defeat publisher, account, or license controls. For sources requiring a subscription or license, submit only material you are authorized to process.

Acceptable use #

Do not use Thought Pins to violate law or rights; exploit, harm, or harass another person; distribute malware; probe systems without authorization; evade security or rate limits; impersonate others; automate abusive traffic; or generate, store, or distribute prohibited illegal material. Private journaling remains private, but use of the service must still comply with applicable law.

Privacy and providers #

The Privacy Policy explains data handling, service-provider categories, retention, export, and deletion. The AI Disclosure explains automated processing and its limits. You control whether to submit content and should avoid submitting information you are not authorized to process.

Account deletion and termination #

You can delete your account and associated data from the app or use the web deletion path if you cannot sign in. Thought Pins may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risk, legal requirements, or misuse. Where practical and lawful, users will be given notice and an opportunity to export content before service-initiated termination.

App stores and third-party services #

If you obtain Thought Pins through an app store, that store's mandatory terms and standard end-user license terms also apply. The store is not responsible for Thought Pins support, privacy handling, or content except as its terms require. Links and integrations with third-party services are also subject to those services' terms.

Current free release #

The current release is available without a subscription charge, in-app purchase, advertising, or external checkout. Reasonable rate limits may protect security and service reliability. If a future version introduces paid services, pricing and purchase terms will be shown before purchase, these Terms will be updated as required, and mobile purchases will use the applicable store's required billing process.

Availability and changes #

The service is provided on an available basis and may experience interruption. Thought Pins may add, remove, or change functions and may update these Terms. Material changes will be dated and presented through the app or another appropriate notice where required.

Disclaimers and liability #

To the extent permitted by law, Thought Pins is provided without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Thought Pins is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made solely from an AI response. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
